NO MARKETING HORSEPOWER
We don't sponsor athletes who post more than they ride. We don't run campaigns that show the gear looking pretty in golden-hour light. If a product can't perform, we kill it.
CAVOK is a refusal. A refusal to wait for perfect conditions. A refusal to compromise on materials. A refusal to retire a product before it breaks. A refusal to call a half-finished ride a session.
We make gear for the four percent who keep going after the camera turns off.
We don't sponsor athletes who post more than they ride. We don't run campaigns that show the gear looking pretty in golden-hour light. If a product can't perform, we kill it.
We are not a lifestyle brand. CAVOK is not coffee mugs, not beach towels, not hoodies. It's gear that does a job, built to do it harder.
We don't retire a product because a season ends. We retire it because a rider broke one in a way we couldn't fix. Until then, it ships.
We design and produce in-house. Every mold, every layup, every seam — ours. We don't source from the same factory as the brand you'll see on the rack next to ours.
If you're reading this and nodding — welcome. If you're reading this and shaking your head — go buy from the brand with the better Instagram presence.
2014. A small shop in Tarifa, Spain. Two engineers. One obsessive rider. A windsurfing loft and a CNC machine. No funding. No investors. No business plan beyond "build what we want to ride."
Two former aerospace engineers and a kitesurfing instructor quit their day jobs to build a single product: a kite bar that wouldn't snap in 30 knots. The first 200 sold out in a weekend.
Lucas Mendez and Eli Hart sign as the first CAVOK-sponsored riders. They asked for one thing: gear that wouldn't quit mid-session. We delivered.
The discipline is two years old. We launch the first CAVOK wing — built for the storm-chasing, big-wave, ocean-rider market. Mara Kovač joins as the program's first pro.
Long overdue. We launch the Riot series — boards built with park riders, for park riders. The Lockdown bindings become the most-pinned product in CAVOK history.
The first CAVOK downhill deck ships. Built with input from 6 downhill pros. We discover the longboard community is loud, opinionated, and exactly our kind of buyer.
Three podiums in a single season. The Phantom becomes our flagship product and the first to break the €2,000 price ceiling — with a waitlist.
23 pro riders. 11 nationalities. 62 countries we ship to. Four disciplines. Two warehouses. One refusal to compromise on anything that matters.
Every CAVOK prototype goes through 18 months of forced-failure testing before it ships. We crash it, twist it, drown it, drag it. If we can't break it, riders can't break it. If we can — we go back to the layup.
Every product starts with the pro team. Not a focus group. Not a survey. Riders, on the water, with prototypes. Feedback is engineering input — not a marketing footnote.
Every CAVOK product is built to be field-repairable with a hex key and a tube of epoxy. We send the repair kit. We don't want you buying a new one.
Every product ships with a 2-year warranty that includes crash damage. If it breaks from use, we replace it. We're not in the business of blaming riders for riding.
If a product is back-ordered, we say so. If a delivery slips, we email before you ask. No marketing hiding inventory problems. We treat riders as adults.

If you've read this far, you're already CAVOK. The only question left is which piece of gear you'll start with.
